Later in the afternoon, at an agreed time, our representative will meet you at the hotel to provide all the essential details of your trip. They will also offer a captivating presentation of the city, sharing insights into its way of life.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions and have any doubts dispelled, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the rest of your trip.
You will have the remainder of the day free to relax and explore Athens at your own pace, taking into the sights, sounds, and flavors of this remarkable city.
In the evening, you will join our guided walking tour, where you will see Athens from a different perspective and have the chance to familiarize yourself with the most charming neighborhoods, such as Anafiotika, Thiseio, Monastiraki, and Plaka.
At the time indicated, your assistant will pick you up from your hotel in one of our private vehicles and will transfer you to Athens airport, where you will board your one-hour flight to the dazzling island of Kefalonia.
Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you, transfer you to your hotel and introduce you to the natural wonders and attractions of this Ionian island. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of your surroundings. Kefalonia is part of the Ionian Islands, which are located to the west of mainland Greece and cover an area of 904 kilometers.
Day at leisure to enjoy this magnificent island, also known as “Cefalonia.” Far from the concept of arid landscape that prevails on other islands, here the green, the cliffs, and the long beaches of golden sand prevail.
Among its main attractions are the charming town of Fiskardo, Mirtos Beach, as well as the mysterious cave of Melissani. The proximity of Kefalonia to the world-famous island of Ithaka, mentioned by Homer in his heroic poem Odyssey, offers a great opportunity for an exciting day trip.
After a tasty and relaxed breakfast, and already immersed in the Greek way of life, one of our vehicles will pick you up at the appointed time early in the morning to take you to the port, where you will continue onto your next destination: the island known for the shipwreck beach or “Navagio Beach”, Zakynthos. This single, worldwide recongnised, postcard image summarizes what a thousand words have tried to do: glorify the hidden character of this region in the Ionian Sea.
It should be noted that the island’s airport is named after the island’s most important citizen, the 19th century poet Dionysus Solomos, one of the leading modern Greek poets and author of the national anthem.
After a delicious breakfast, this day is completely free so that you can enjoy the wonderful beaches and emerald green waters that characterize the Ionian Sea. Alternatively, you can visit Navagio Beach or “the shipwreck”. Undoubtedly, the island’s impressive landscapes will be imprinted in your mind as well as the excellent local cuisine, characteristic of the Mediterranean as a whole.
If you decide to tour the city on your own, we recommend the church of Agios Nikolas, a 17th century Renaissance-style church, and one of the few buildings that have survived the earthquake and fire of 1953. Another relevant point is the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, which has magnificent Cretan paintings.
At the time indicated, you will be transferred by our staff to Zakynthos airport, where you will board the flight back to Athens. Upon your arrival at the airport, you will connect to your international flight, which should preferably depart after 12:30 hrs.
Having spent a few fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again soon to create new and extraordinary moments that will be lovingly etched in your memory.
Have a nice trip! or as Greeks say: Kalo taksidi!
