The Pyramids of Giza is the first place we will visit with our official English-speaker guide. You can watch it from the main entrance esplanade and from closer.

Optionally, you can add the excursion to the Necropolis of Saqqara. Inside this World Heritage, the funerary complex of King Djoser stands out. This is a building built to honor the king in the afterlife. The Pyramid of Djoser is the first stone structure built in a pyramidal shape. It symbolizes the beginning of this type of construction in Egypt.

By night, you can hire a light show on the Giza Pyramids. You can also enjoy a unique dinner show in a floating restaurant on the Nile. Ask your travel assistant for more information.

DAY 6

Start your day early after a delicious breakfast and continue your adventure with a full-day visit to Al-Qahira, also known as Cairo, which translates to “the Strong or Victorious” in English.

Your morning will kick off with a visit to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities located in the heart of the city. This museum houses numerous priceless artifacts that will captivate you, including Tutankhamun’s treasure, sarcophagi, mummies, and incredibly beautiful sculptures.

Afterward, you’ll enjoy a satisfying lunch and dive into the Coptic neighborhood to experience its diverse religious blend. Here, you’ll visit the Hanging Church, built on the Babylon Fortress; the Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, also known as Abu Serga and believed to be a refuge for the Holy Family when they fled from Herod; and the Ben Ezra synagogue, one of the oldest synagogues in the country.

Next, you’ll head to Historic Cairo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the domain of the Caliphs and their mosques since the 10th century. The Citadel of Saladin will stand out as a remarkable fortress, fortified centuries ago to defend against the Crusaders.
