DAY 1

Upon your arrival in Genoa, one of our vehicles will be waiting for you at the airport, port or train station, to receive you and transfer you comfortably and quickly to the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to relax, and if you wish, begin to enjoy the city at your own pace.

Genoa is the sixth largest city in the country and also one of the most important economic centers in northern Italy. In medieval times, it was the richest city in the world and one of the most considerable commercial and naval powers in the Mediterranean. The legacy of that wealth can still be seen in the city’s imposing gates, palaces and churches.

DAY 2

After a full breakfast at the hotel, you will go out to discover the city with a tour on the hop on hop off bus that will make you discover all the main monuments, as well as give you the opportunity to visit the fishing village of Boccadasse, crossing the seafront of Corso Italia.

According to the legend, Baccadasse was founded around the year 1000 by a group of Spanish fishermen who, due to a violent storm, sought refuge in this small rocky inlet.

Its colored houses, around its small beach, are one of the most peculiar characteristics of this town.

DAY 3

At the end of breakfast, one of our transfers will be waiting for you to take you to the train station to go to Rome.

Upon your arrival in the eternal city, a car will be waiting for you to transfer you comfortably and quickly to the hotel. We will use the rest of the day to discover Rome aboard the Hop on hop off bus.

On board the open red double-decker buses you will be able to comfortably admire and visit the main sites of the eternal city, from the Roman Forum to the Colosseum, the Basilica of San PietroPiazza Spagna and Santa Maria Maggiore, we will listen to the history and curiosities about the wonders that we find on the route, thanks to the audio guide in eight different languages.

DAY 4

After a nice breakfast, you will have free time to explore the ‘Eternal City’ at your own pace. You can choose from a variety of options, such as walking, visiting monuments, going shopping or simply tasting the local culinary delights, including pastas, veggies, meat, and fish.

Optionally, you can book a guided tour in English with exclusive, skip-the-line tickets and visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, or the magical Colosseum.

DAY 5

You will go on your own to Rome Termini station to take the train to Naples, the gateway to southern Italy.

Once in Naples, the transfer will be waiting you at the station to continue to the hotel.

At the agreed time, we will go on our own to the meeting point to start the walking tour where you will discover the true heart of Naples, full of the artistic influences left by the different dominations after the Greek and Roman ages. You will visit piazza Plebiscito with the magnificent Royal Palace, walk by the sea to enjoy the view of the bay and Mount Vesuvius, stroll through the Pignasecca food market and try different typical dishes, walk through the narrow streets of the historic center and in the famous “Spaccanapoli”. In the historic center, we will take the opportunity to enter a craft shop to learn about the tradition of hand-made statues of the Nativity (called “Presepe”), a deeply felt tradition in Naples during Christmas time that dates back to 1000 years ago. We will walk along the central nave of the Cathedral of Naples, also known
as “Duomo”.

DAY 6

After breakfast, you will go by your means to do a full day tour, where you will have the opportunity to visit the best towns of the Amalfi coast. The winding road, suspended between the sea and the slopes of the Lattari mountains, offers a breathtaking view of the jutting shore. You will be able to take many photos during the short stops along the entire Amalfi Coast including the towns of Sorrento and Positano.

You will also enjoy lunch in a restaurant overlooking the sea and relax by visiting the center of Amalfi, which is the heart and soul of the coast. Here, there will be enough free time to go shopping and visit the Cathedral, which dominates from the top of its majestic stairs. During free time we can also enjoy a short boat trip to discover the famous Amalfi villas and take incredible photos of the cliff from the sea (you can add it as an option when entering your reservation).

At the end of the trip we will arrive at the city of Ravello, which is a mountain city overlooking the entire coast. Here, we will have another free time and we can enjoy an optional visit to the famous gardens of Villa Rufolo, with species of exotic and Mediterranean flora.

DAY 7

After a full breakfast you will do a half day tour of the incredible Archaeological Site of Pompeii. At the indicated time it will be a picked up from the main hotels in the city center or at one of the scheduled meeting points.

After a 30-minute drive, you will arrive at Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our archaeological guide will receive us and help us with the purchase of tickets for the site. Then he will tell us the most interesting stories about Pompeii and what life was like before the eruption of the Vesuvius Volcano that left it buried. He will also show us the most important places such as the thermal baths, the frescoes of the Lupanare brothel, the Macellum with its “taverns”, the famous workshops located in the shopping streets, the Basilica and the House of Faun.

We will have the opportunity to take several photos during the stops. The tour inside the ruins will take us about 1 hour and a half. The exact route will depend on the number of visitors and weather conditions.

At the end of our stay in Pompeii, we will travel back to Naples where our tour will end. We will have the rest of the day free to enjoy Naples.

DAY 8

After breakfast our services will end.

Without doubt, and after spending some fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory.

Bon voyage!, or as you say yourself, Buon Viaggio!
