Other notable structures include the University of Athens, the National Library of Greece, and the National Academy of Athens. The district also features attractions such as the Ilion Palace, the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Gate, and the iconic Panathenaic Stadium.

Next, prepare to be amazed by the legendary Acropolis and the captivating Acropolis Museum. The entrance fee to both sites is included, allowing you to immerse yourself in their grandeur.

    Day 3

In the morning, and after a good breakfast, you will visit Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the center or ‘navel’ of the ancient world.  It was here where the renowned Oracle of Delphi, a counselor of kings and pilgrims, could be found. You cannot miss out on a visit to the museum, which houses the “Bronze Charioteer”, a masterpiece of Greek sculpture.

At the end of your Delphi tour, you will descend the slopes of Mount Parnassus and head towards the plains of Thessaly, where the city of Kalambaka is located.

Upon your arrival in Kalambaka, you will check in at your hotel, have dinner and rest or you can go out to explore the town’s old picturesque district with its narrow cobblestoned streets and traditional houses.
    Day 4

Early in the morning, you will visit Meteora, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. In this mysterious landscape, the natural beauty is combined with the compelling presence of the eternal monasteries suspended or “Meteora” on top of the huge rocks. Currently, there are only six in use, five for the male and one for the female monastic community.

Dress code to the Monasteries: Sleeveless clothing and shorts above the knee are not allowed. Skirts, shawls, and trousers are available at the entrance of the Monasteries in case visitors do not have such clothing to cover themselves with.

On the way back to Athens, you will briefly stop at Thermopylae, where you can see the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas, famous for leading the battle against the Persians in 480 BC. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Athens, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
    Day 5

Embark on an exciting journey as we transfer you to the vibrant port of Piraeus. From there, you’ll set sail on a ferry bound for the famous island of Mykonos. Bask in the perfect timing of the crossing, enjoying the sun-drenched deck and immersing yourself in the captivating shades of the Aegean Sea.

Mykonos, known as the “heap of stones” or the “rocky place,” holds a rich history. According to legend, it was named after Mykonos, the heroic son of King Anius of Delos. As you arrive on this cosmopolitan island, our friendly English-speaking representative will warmly welcome you. They’ll assist with your hotel transfer and introduce you to the enchanting charms of Mykonos.

When it comes to food, Mykonos offers Mediterranean cuisine that incorporates fresh vegetables, flavorful olive oil, and a variety of aromatic spices such as oregano and basil. You can also indulge in delicious fish and seafood dishes.

Remember to visit the nearby historic island of Delos, just a short ferry ride away. According to Greek mythology, Delos is the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. This ancient island has been inhabited since 3000 BC and holds immense cultural significance from ancient times.
    Day 7

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, embracing the Greek way of life. Our private vehicle will pick you up at the agreed time to take you to the port.

    Day 8

Free day to explore, at your own pace, the magical island of Santorini, considered to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Venetian Giacomo Barozzi gave the name of the island. He was inspired by the presence of a chapel dedicated to Saint Eirini.

It has been a pleasure hosting you during these wonderful days with Greca, and we eagerly look forward to welcoming you back in the future to create more extraordinary moments that will forever hold a special place in your heart.
